Some couples begin as friends, fall in love and build a story that brings two families together. Manu & Shivanjali’s journey has that special connection.
We first met them during their pre-wedding planning. As we listened to their story, we learned how they met at university and fell in love. When their wedding day arrived, we already understood something about their bond. We were ready to document not only their special moments but also the people and relationships that made the celebration meaningful.
Their wedding took place at Aangan Lawn and Banquets in Varanasi. The open venue gave both families and friends space to come together, celebrate and enjoy the wedding events.
A Haldi Celebration Full of Family Fun
The Haldi brought both families together for a shared celebration. Instead of keeping the event focused only on the couple, the families joined in games, laughter and playful moments.
These interactions gave everyone a chance to connect and enjoy the celebration together. The couple’s Haldi entry with dance added to the excitement before the ceremony began.
As photographers, we look beyond the main event. We watch how people interact, how family members join the fun and how small moments unfold around the couple. These details help us tell the story of the celebration, not just show what happened on stage.
An Intimate Sangeet with Family Performances
The Sangeet brought another kind of energy to the wedding. Family members performed, friends joined the celebration, and everyone shared the evening through music and dance.
The event did not need a huge stage or a long list of activities to feel special. The family performances and shared enjoyment gave the evening its own character.
We focused on the performances as well as the people watching, cheering and enjoying the moment together. These photographs help preserve the feeling of an intimate family celebration.
Behind the Scenes: Shivanjali Gets Ready
For us, bridal preparation is an important part of the wedding story. The ceremony may bring everyone together, but the hours before it also hold meaningful moments.
Having photographed Manu and Shivanjali during their pre-wedding shoot helped us understand their connection before the wedding day. That familiarity gave our team a better sense of the story we were documenting.
As Shivanjali prepared for the wedding, we focused on the details, the people around her and the moments that naturally unfolded. We wanted to preserve this part of the day as it happened, without forcing emotions or asking people to recreate moments.
The Wedding Rituals and the People Around Them
As the wedding moved into the rituals, Manu and Shivanjali celebrated with their families and friends beside them. Each part of the ceremony brought the couple and their loved ones together in a different way.
Our team followed the events while watching for natural interactions between the couple and the people sharing the day with them. We wanted to capture their involvement in the rituals alongside the expressions, connections and small details around them.
For us, wedding photography means more than taking candid pictures. It means paying attention to what people feel and do in the moment, then documenting those moments honestly.
A Wedding Story Beyond the Couple
Manu and Shivanjali’s wedding brought together their relationship, their families and the friends who shared the celebration. From the playful Haldi to the Sangeet, bridal preparation and wedding rituals, each part added another chapter to their story.
At Muddyearth, we try to understand a couple before their wedding day so we can document their celebration with care. The photographs then become more than a record of events. They help preserve the people, bonds and shared experiences that make each wedding unique.
